It’s our 3rd Anniversary and we are on our way down to Sidmouth but we take a little diversion on the way and stop off in Thornbury for coffee and cake. Gluten Free orange polenta actually and it was delicious.
Tuesday we took a ride out to Lyme Regis. Book shops, galleries and coffee shops, fabulous.
Luckily we manage to get a guided tour around an old working water mill. It was still used to grind the wheat to make flour and the water wheel was connected up to generate electricity.
Wednesday was my Birthday and we went into Sidmouth for the day. Came back with a wonderful Carrot Birthday cake.
Thursday we paid a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary. They were so lovely. I did not realise how wonderful they can be.
The Sanctuary does some amazing work right across the world. The donkeys even do donkey assisted therapy.
Here’s the website for you to take a look:

We could not resist bringing back our own little donkey.
BLOSSOM.
Friday morning came round way to quickly but luckily the sun was out so down into Sidmouth we went.
The sea was calm and walking down the front set the dial in your mind to maximum chill out.
Unfortunately the drive home was terrible. Cues of traffic, long delays and congestion.
So we stopped off in Thornbury again for a meal and to kill some time until things calmed down.
